OVER PROMISED & UNDER DELIVERED
I wish I had looked at more reviews for this before I purchased the tickets. This was at best a mediocre performance and I can do without the overly dramatic proselytism for Falun Dafa. Not worth 1/8 of what I paid for the tickets.....

DON'T. DO. IT.
The only performance where I've wanted to leave at intermission. Almost fell asleep. The heavy religious propaganda was only distracting from the mediocre dance routines. The emcee's only further aided in my boredom. There was no set, only an ugly screen backdrop that felt incredibly cheap and definitely not the "life-changing" experience marketing advertised.

SHUN SPENDING YOUR YEN ON SHEN YUN
Really!? Shen Yun shows how effective marketing can be. How many times in a show do you want to see performers wave colorful scarfs. My 5 year old Granddaughters recital was more entertaining. High School cheerleading squads are more acrobatic.

REFUND, REFUND, REFUND!!!
Horrible!!! Left at intermission!!! I’d like to know who promoted bringing this show locally!!! Someone in our city has very shady ties

IT'S A CULT!
Shen Yun is run by Falun Dafa, which is a religious group originated in China, The show is heavily based on their religious beliefs, and they say things like Evolution never happened, Darwinism is a joke. The show is cheesy to say the best. Awful production with a huge grainy screen and super edited backgrounds. It is a false advertisement, because they don't say that Shen Yun will impose their religious beliefs on you. All those reviews on their web site are fake AF. Do yourself a favor a read a New Yorker article before spending your $$$ on it.

BORING
Melodramatic, overpriced but above all boring. For what we paid I was expecting Cirque du Soleil but didn't even get Disney on Ice. Were I alone I would have walked out after the first number. It turned out that the rest of the family couldn't wait for it to end either. If you do go don't give them your phone # as you will be hit with Chinese robo calls every time they're about to roll into town.

SHEN YUN
Good advertising, but very boring performance. Some dances are good, but overall the performance is not impressive. We work very hard do not get to sleep. It is not worth it. We are not going to come back for another performance.
